Ottawa denies advertising to atheists

Ottawa, Canada has rejected the ad "There probably is no god" from being placed on their buses. This is ridiculous when you consider how many billboards I have seen with a Jesus figure hanging on a cross or "god is watching you" signs. I understand that they must deal with pressures of their citizens but why is it that any public speech is only a right when it does not go against societies views? Communism may not be my idea of the ideal view of a political system by why is someone in trouble for trying to spread their ambitions for the party. Our government (in the US and others I am sure) states rights that they take away as soon as it challenges the structure of the system. In this case we have the right of free speech until it challenges religion. Thanks America... and Canada it's great to see your following suit.

A member of the council has agreed to help in the turnover of this decision to not allow the ads. Please help out by asking the below members of the council to allow the ads. NOTE: please don't yell at them or be rude in anyway, we don't want them thinking all atheists are assholes. Plus that's no way to try and get what you want. Lets just send out as many polite emails as we can with rational explanation and get others to support the cause as well.

With respects to atheistrev.com here are their emails that vjack provided:
